Intermission 22: Taylor Brook.
“Taylor, can you come with me for a second?” the man asked her.
Her boss, the general manager of this newly built resort, stopped her well-earned rest and led to the restroom of the main building, the place she’d just finished cleaning.
“What is it?” she asked, swallowing her frustration in favor of an innocently curious tone.
“What do you mean? Do you think this is okay?” he asked back, gesturing towards the restroom. “Taylor, this is the main building. It’s the first thing customers see when they come here. Do you know what that means?”
Taylor shook her head.
“It means that this is where we make our first impression. Everything needs to be in order and perfectly clean.” Again, he gestured toward the restroom. “This shit is not perfectly clean, Taylor! Not by a long shot!”
The girl flinched at the man raising his voice. She looked into the restroom and saw it just like she left it.
“It looks fine to me,” she argued weakly.
“Taylor, there’s still some piss stains on the floor of the third stall, the fourth stall is clogged, you didn’t sweep under the sinks and it’s still full of dirt. I’m not being picky. You just didn’t do your job!”
Taylor swallowed a grunt and **** her expression to remain neutral. She already cleaned this! Was she gonna have to do it again? It was stupid!
“I’ll need you to do this again, but first, there’s a big group checking in and the others are busy. I’ll need you to take them to their cabin. Number eight.”
Ugh, so annoying! But at least she didn’t have to start cleaning again immediately. She went back to the lobby and the manager pointed to the women by the main counter who were checking in.
“They’re a big group. Twelve people. They have no issues carrying their own stuff, so you don’t need to do it.”
Thank GOD!
“One of them, the younger girl with the long brown hair?” he pointed out. “She’s Ms. Olivia Hughes, the daughter of the owner. Treat them well, you hear?”
Woah. The daughter of the owner? She swallowed when she saw her. She was gorgeous, enough to be a super model or something.
Taylor walked up to the three women and looked at the other to. One of them was mature-looking with wavy auburn hair, dark-framed glasses and a perfect hourglass figure. The other was a busty, athletic-looking blonde with just as much of a killer body.
Taylor straightened her back as she walked up to them. She wasn’t inferior to any of them.
“Good afternoon,” the girl greeted them. “I’ll be taking you to your cabin.”
“Thank you very much,” the mature woman said with a polite smile. “We need to go back to our group first and get our luggage.”
“Of course. I’ll come with you.”
Taylor followed the women from the lobby to the parking lot, and as they approached, she could start making out the faces of the big group of people. They were all women, close to the same age group. There was an Asian girl, a Latin American girl, a redhead, two more blondes and a bunch of brunettes. One of those faces looked familiar, but she couldn’t quite figure out from where.
And then she also saw Him. Her heart skipped a beat with how abruptly he appeared from behind one of the girls. He looked different. He was fitter, with a bit more muscle on him and a lean figure. But it is was still definitely him.
David Walker, the huge nerd and her most profitable victim back in her high school day. Boy, that brought back memories. Good memories from back when she was queen, when everyone did as she said or faced consequences, not the other way around like it is now. Back then, she had David do her homework and buy her stuff, and all she had to do was pretend she was his girlfriend. The loser ate it all up.
She tried to remember what he was up to these days. That’s right! She saw him that day she took the Hayes Academy entrance exam! She didn’t talk to him. She avoided him, even. But she remembered because, how could she not? He was the one dude among a sea of women. His dad was always extremely influential, so that’s the only way she can think that happened. Were the girls around him his classmates?
No. It finally hit her. The other woman she recognized, the one in the thin sweater, with the very long brown hair and big tits that’s slightly taller than him. What was her name? Ella? Eva? No matter, because she remembered now. She was the woman in charge of the entrance exam in the classroom she was in. She was a teacher at Hayes Academy.
…
Her instincts kicked in. Subtly, she took her hand to her pocket, to her smartphone. With expertise born from constant practice, she navigated the quick-menu blindly, keeping her eyes forward. She set the camera just slightly out of her pocket and silently snapped a picture of the group, knowing full well David and the teacher were in frame.
She grinned.
By the way they were acting, that group was definitely close. How that loser got friendly with those gorgeous girls, Taylor didn’t know and didn’t care. All she needed was to know David, the teacher and Olivia Hughes were on friendly terms. The rest, she could make up. Wouldn’t be the first time, and it would work just as well as it always had.
David was only book-smart. He was a thirsty, awkward kid who would do whatever a girl asked him. There was a big chance he was only here as those girls plaything. Yeah, that was definitely it.
He was the one she would aim for. She would threaten to get them expelled and fired from the academy if he didn’t get her what she asked. Olivia Hughes could get her the promotion she wanted. Easy money for no effort.
She smiled.
It was good to know she still had it.
