Intercept the blast

With the little time you had, you rushed forward so fast you were little more than a blur that neither the mage nor the prisoner could see you swipe the lacrima from the man?s hands and jump several hundred feet in the sky before swinging your arm as hard and as fast as you can and launch the lacrima to a safe enough distance before it exploded. You landed on a rooftop far away from where the mage and the stranger stood, both confused as to how the explosion that should?ve killed them both disappeared into the distance. The metal mage is the first to look your way, although you disappear long before the prisoner begins turning his head to face you.

You walk pretty casually down the streets and alleys as you resume walking towards the guild. You aren?t exactly sure of what just happened, but if something like that was a job, then you shouldn?t have a great deal of trouble adapting to life as a guild mage.

It took longer than anticipated, but after walking the entire way, you reach the front gate, where the guild?s name ?Fairy Tail? is written above the entrance. As soon as you reach the doors, you freeze in your spot, somewhat anxious and nervous to open that door. You?ve spent most of your life isolated from others, and if you continued any further, you?d experience a great shift in your life where others would always be close at hand. It wasn?t necessarily a horrible thought, but there was a lot you didn?t really understand. Would they be offended if you acted too casual or aloof with them? Should you have brought some kind of resume or token to prove your worth, and would they laugh at you for not understanding something so basic?

The more you thought about just how little you knew how to behave and act around others, the more depressed and nervous you became. You considered leaving before you made a complete fool of yourself in one of the most famous guilds in Fiore.
