In the hallway

Isabel nervously tapped her shoes on the floor while sitting in her classroom. She knew she was in trouble, and she knew she had to find a way out of it - immediately. She looked at the clock and realized it was 2:39. Her class, and most of the other classes, finished at 3pm today. But the time was relevant to her for other reasons as well.

Tina said 3pm..., Isabel said to herself internally, as she saw the clock change to 2:40. She had 20 minutes to get out and away from school before the "scheduled" meeting with Tina outside the front entrance of the school. She had no intentions to take Tina up on her suggestion, as she wasn't keen on fighting anyone today. Or any day, for that matter.

However, she knew what she had done was wrong, but she didn't regret it. But there had to be some other way out of it than fighting, so Isabel decided to go early.

"Professor, can I go to the bathroom, please?" Isabel asked. The female professor looked at her above her glasses with a look of disgust.

"You couldn't hold it for...20 minutes more?" the teacher asked. Isabel faked clutching her bladder convincingly as she tried again. "I really, really have to go, professor!" The professor sighed, and let the girl leave the classroom.

Isabel grabbed her leather jacket, exited the door into the empty hallway as she looked left and right to see if anyone was there, while thinking about what she did.
