Relieved that you didn't have to end any relationships (which you definitely would have) you all make your way to Alex where everyone express a healthy amount of concern and support for his well being. It even goes as far as Max apologizing to his son for pushing him so hard and claiming that he never wanted him to get hurt. It's a good heartfelt hour that is only interrupted by one of the nurses making a quiet entry and asking if you are going to be long since they kinda need the bed for some patients down at the ER. The nurse is very careful trying not to **** you out but at the same time heavily implying that you really need to get going. You apologize to the nurse and start getting everyone to leave. After a bit you are all walking down the parking lot. Saying goodbye as you make it to your car.

As you drive your husband home he calls his work and let them know that he won't be in today and is **** to quit due to health reasons. Not Wanting to explain himself further he hangs up. You feel happy as he does. Finally you got your husband to make time for you. It just happened in a really roundabout and horrifying way.
