Impact

The fall was hard. Jenny couldn't do anything but lay where she'd landed for a minute as the air rushed in and out of her lungs, but eventually she recovered enough to get up. As she pushed herself up, Rough hands settled on her back and pushed her back into the ground. Then someone large sat down on top of her pinning her in place. She thrashed, but when a harsh voice told her, "Stay put or'll we'll do this the hard way." and she felt twin points on her exposed upper neck she lay still. She chanced a look around. From her perspective laying face down on the rough carpet, she couldn't see much, but there was between 5 or 10 people clustered around where she lay with more coming up all the time. Most of them were gasping as they tried to catch their breath, but they were all focused on here current situation and many of them seemed less than happy. There was a murmur and then finally somebody spoke up.

"So what happens now?" a muscular man asked pushing his way to the front of the crowd.

Others agreed. One guy went farther gesturing at the person holding her down. "We aren't just going to let him walk away with the prize"

"I'm the one who caught her," yet another voice accused. Turning her head Jenny realized it was the guy who'd pulled her and caused her fall. Her anger at him was enough for her to make one last bid for freedom, taser or no taser.
