IA Day 10 - Accept Adella's help

Adella went to some trouble to set you up for success, but you are too nervous to know what to do. You sit down on a bed to think. You should probably... eat dinner with Riley, or see if you can sit with her. Adella might be making plans, but maybe Riley has her own plans. You don't know...

Adella comes out of the shower and finds you there. Still wet and wrapped in her towel, she sits next to you.

"What's wrong?" she asks.

"How do you know she is not confident?"

"She thinks you're out of her league."

"How do you know?" you ask.

"Because it's what I think," Adella says, patting your thigh. "Stop thinking so hard. You like her. Don't be embarrassed. Sometimes you have to just do what you want to do."

So you put your cute underwear on: blue, lacy bra and panties, then get dressed and go to dinner. A girl named Sam is on one side of Riley, and a girl named Lili is on the other side. You have to sit down the table from them.

The girl named Sam is sitting really close to her, and it's obvious that she's really into Riley. Lili too, but not as blatantly as Sam. You make it through dinner, unsure what to do, but Adella walks past you and gives you a hard push, sending you stumbling toward Riley as she goes into the main room. You take your chance and drop down next to her on the couch.

One of the other girls has the remote and is flipping channels.

"Hi," Riley says to you. "How are you? How was your game? I guess you won. That's great."

"Thank you," you say, wishing your English was better.

The girls pick a scary slasher movie. Great... you are not good with these kinds of movies. You focus on Riley, and she asks you all about your game. The other girls turn the lights down, and you move closer to her as the movie gets scary. She smells like deoderant, and looks cute in her Star Wars t-shirt.

You chat with her quietly as the other girls watch the movie. You try not to look during the sex scenes, and you definitely don't look when the killer is stabbing people...

"Are you OK?" Riley asks you.

"Yes," you say. "Of course."

"You don't like this movie, do you?" she asks, stifling a laugh.

"It's fine," you say.

Riley looks at your for a second... then she moves closer to you. "You want to hang out somewhere else? Take a walk?"

Yes! She's doing the hard part so you don't have to. You get up and she takes your hand, leading you outside.

Bee is out there, smoking a cigarette. You both wave to her, and she shocks you by waving back. How does she see with that blindfold on?

"Have you talked to your family about today yet?" she asks as you start to stroll around the outside of the Lodge in the dark.

"No," you say.

"Time zones?"

You nod.

"What about your other stuff? Doing any better with that?" she asks.

"Maybe," you say, embarrassed.

"Well, it's a stress thing. FUTA is stressful," Riley says, rubbing your back. "It's probably crazy to think it would just go away, you know? Is your team cool at least?"

"They are," you say.

"And your coach?"

"Yes," you say.

"Good," Motoko says.

You and Riley jump. Motoko is just a few feet away wearing a leather jacket. Her hands are in her pockets and she looks grumpy. "You kids should be inside."

"We aren't kids," Riley points out.

Motoko isn't impressed. "Go inside," she says.

"Well, OK." Riley shrugs, squeezing your hand. "Ready to call it a night? I'll walk you to your room."
