You wipe some of the steam off the mirror so you can see your reflection. You run your hands over your legs to check your shave, then turn and look over your shoulder to check out your nude body from behind. OK… looks like you don’t have any bruises or injuries that you didn’t notice. Not that it would matter, but it makes you feel more confident.

You turn back around and frown, looking between your legs. Normally you would do some grooming down there. You’ve never tried to be perfectly smooth or anything, but you like to be tidy, yet… the one time you did that, you could tell that Riley was surprised and disappointed when she noticed.

Your gaze lingers on the thick, golden curls down there. You aren’t sure what to do… well, there isn’t time to worry about it tonight. The ceremony ended twenty minutes ago.

You grab the two hangars from the wall and hold them up: it’s the same set of lingerie, but in blue and red. You hold the red in front of you. Then the blue. It seems like you always end up wearing blue. You can be different this time.

No, you haven’t seen her in a week. You put the red one back and go with the blue, carefully pulling up the panties, tucking your breasts into the lacy bra, and rolling on the stockings. Now you need to do your hair and makeup.

The FUTA season ended three weeks ago, and it was a wild ride. You and Riley were only at the Lodge at the same time three times all summer, but she never stopped texting and calling you. For the past two weeks, she has been doing a publicity tour with the other captains, and you went home to see your family.

Now you’re back in Florida, and soon Riley will be meeting you in this hotel room. She had to do one last big appearance tonight, which you watched part of on TV. She looked very pretty in her black dress, but she didn’t look altogether comfortable in it. She hates wearing heels.

Once you’re ready, you head out into the big suite and almost scream in surprise.

Riley is already here. She’s sprawled in an armchair by the window, the city glowing behind her. Her shoes are by the door. She looks like a limp rag. Your heart melts. She is exhausted. Doing publicity stuff tires her out a thousand times more than sports do. She’s great at being an athlete, but these other things… not so much.

But that’s one of the things that you like about her. She’s not an actress or a marketer. She’s an honest person. Maybe too honest, with the way that she will get visibly hard at every little thing that you do.

Her eyes are closed, but she’s not sleeping. She’s just… out of it.
