I tell her the truth

"Listen Melody" I began. "Monica is very quiet and very shy, and I think she's a sweet girl. I want to look after her more than anything. I don't want to have that kind of relationship with her. Now if she were to ask me to, that would be a different story. I don't **** anyone to do anything against their will. I'm not like that, and I never will be. There's no reason for you to act this way."

Melody's eyes softened, and she let out a sigh of relief. "I don't know why, but I believe you. So where is this girlfriend of yours? The way you cling to each other makes it seem like you're inseparable."

"Well, that's not the case" I began to explain. "We broke up a couple of days ago, and it was pretty bad. If you want to gloat, go ahead."

To my surprise Melody didn't gloat. She had a look of sadness on her face. "I'm so sorry to hear that. How are you holding up?"

"Now that's a surprise. I didn't think you'd be concerned."

"Hey. I may think what you're doing is wrong, but I'm not without feelings for others. I know what it's like to get dumped too." She suddenly opened her arms, and wrapped herself around me. The next thing I knew, she was crying into my shoulder. "I got dumped this past weekend by my boyfriend Jason, and I don't understand why. Is there something wrong with me?"

So there I was, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. so to speak. I gently lifted up her chin, and looked into her tear stained eyes. "Melody there's nothing wrong with you. You're a very beautiful girl. If I were a guy, or if you suddenly decided you liked girls, I'd go out with you. Is he the reason you're in a worse mood than usual?"

"Yes" she answered, tears still running down her cheeks. "I'm sorry I was so mean to you. Do you honestly think I'm pretty?"

"Yes, you are very pretty" I answered, wiping her tears away.

She pulled away from me, and seemed to be struggling with something as she took a deep breath. Then it came out all at once. "I can't hide this any more. You'll probably laugh at me for saying this, but I need to say it. I've been dreaming about you, and what it would be like to be with you. I know this is so wrong, but it feels so right. I've felt this way ever since I saw you and Lily fooling around." She hung her head as if in shame. "There. I've said it. Now you can laugh at me, or whatever."

The look in her eyes was sincere. The confusion she felt was real. I knew she was telling me the truth. "I'm not going to laugh at you. In fact, that took a lot of courage for you to say that. I respect you for it. But right now you're very ****, and I don't want to take advantage of you. Two wrongs never make a right."

She looked at me with those wide innocent eyes of hers, and said "But what If I was the one who started it. Would you still refuse to take advantage of me?"

This girl was a real enigma to me right at that moment. "Are you offering?"

"I guess I am" she admitted as she stepped back into my embrace, and wrapped herself around me. She kissed me on the cheek, and whispered into my ear. "Please make love with me. I need you."
