Chapter 41 by JaneOfTheNight JaneOfTheNight

Do you accept the peace offering and let her in?

I mean, you are thirsty.

Overcoming the feeling in your stomach to simply close the door in her face, you **** yourself to smile. "Sure. A peace offering it is." You take a step back and hold the door open, and Sasha quickly shuffles her way in, again leaving you to ponder why you had such a guttural reaction to her presence. Maybe a sense of jealousy was some part of the spell? Or... was it something worse? Like a feeling of being protective?

Nah, couldn't be.

Pushing the idea out of your head, you follow her inside, where she found a place to pull out the bottle, right next to the coffee table. Again, you found yourself very relieved that Alex's Dad wasn't going to be home all day, although you were certain that he wouldn't quite be able to tell your parents that you'd been indulging in adult beverages.

What would he even be able to say? "I found John taking shots in the middle of my fucking living room, and he was in a dress that was overtly revealing?"

That would have certainly been an interesting occasion.

Sasha disappears for a few minutes in order to find some of Alex's Dad's shot glasses in the kitchen. Her familiarity with the house brings out another pang of anger in you, and when offered the shot, you pound it back without a moment's hesitation... which brings a pretty mighty cough as a result, and also a giggle from Sasha.

You shoot a nasty glare in the direction of Sasha, which causes her to almost recoil from the reaction. There is an awkward silence, which is only broken by Sasha putting down her own shot like a champ, and pouring another for you. Quietly, a small part of you chastises yourself for being so harsh. You distinctly remember just how much of a bitch Sasha had been the day before, but here she seemed genuinely apologetic... and even somewhat reserved. This proved to complicate your internal struggle, as something far more akin to your old self found itself battling with this innermost jealousy, and, perhaps, even ingrained hatred.

Speaking as tactfully as your current state could allow, you do your best to diffuse the situation. "I'm sorry. This is, uh..." You let out a bit of a giggle as you realize just how apt the words that are about to come out are. "This is very new to me."

Sasha, seemingly calmed by you finally speaking, gives you an inquisitive look. "Which part?" She asks, casually handing you another shot, before corking the bottle and sliding it back into the bag.

"...all of it, really." You answer honestly, before letting out a sigh. Not sure how to respond and quietly cursing yourself for starting a conversation you had no idea if you could continue honestly. You put down your next shot, and then motion for Sasha to sit on the couch, then do so yourself.

"I didn't get the impression it was your first time last night." Sasha responds, speaking through a furrowed brow after putting down her drink. "Better stop that, I'd rather be sober tonight..." She continued, before settling on the couch beside you.

"It wasn't my first time." You answer honestly, settling back with your arms outstretched, silently taking in the warm feeling of Jager in your stomach. "It was just my first time in that situation."

"Mine, too!" Sasha immediately responds, seemingly excited by the prospect, before seemingly getting the better of herself, and attempting to calm down.

You let out a low chuckle, crossing one leg over the other and doing your best to get comfortable. You can slowly feel that burning in your stomach toward Sasha be quelled by the **** in your system, and fall into a short, comfortable silence.

Sasha seems to make herself as comfortable as she can, although you do quietly note that she seems on edge. Finally, after several minutes, she forces herself to sit up, and turns to you, finally breaking the silence. "Look, I wanted to apologize for last night..."

"For being a catty bitch?" You respond immediately, and then wince at your tone. You didn't mean to be that blunt, but it just bubbled up in you, without warning. "Ah... sorry." You offer as way of apology.

"No, no. You're right." She says, taking off her beanie, and tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "It's..." She seems to take a moment to find her words, seemingly looking you over, and in the process, once again lingering on your curves, which seems to give you a strange sense of self-aggrandizing pride. "Well, it's just that Alex is the only boyfriend I've had that I actually stuck with, and... uh, feelings tend to flair up. And I'm sorry for that, and I don't want to fuck this thing up today."

You close your eyes and wave a hand toward her. "It's fine." You say, and a part of you does feel that's an honest answer. "I'd probably be jealous of Alex's new... uh, well. I'd be jealous in your position as well. And I think we managed to work most of that out last night."

You feel the couch cushion move from beneath you, and assume that's her shifting her weight. You keep your eyes closed as best you can, silently enjoying the buzz in your system.

"I think so too! I've never been in that position before, and I really think it's something I want again. I never thought I was like that, but the sight of it... it was just, just so hot..."

You let out a chuckle. "I have to admit, I feel the same. I didn't think I'd like it, but I'm surprised by the things I tend to like these days."

"I know that feeling." She says with a giggle, and you can feel her move a bit closer. "So, that's, uh... definitely something you want to do again?"

"Why do you think you're over here?" You answer, pretty honestly. Sure, Alex had sort of taken advantage of you to get into this situation, but it wasn't as if you weren't going to suggest trying it again yourself.

"Good!" You hear Sasha answer, seemingly in a better mood. Something inside you internally groaned, as the response very much sounded like how she spoke to Alex, so often.

You feel her slide off of the couch. "Well then... I suppose it's my turn, then!"

What? You wonder, letting out a sigh. It seemed like she was talking in circles, and you didn't quite get it. Where was she going with all of this?

Where IS she going with all of this?
