You say “You told me you had something to say about the VS show: if you can't invite me it's not a problem, don't worry, we will go together somewhere else another time..."

"No, it's not that, you can come of course, but... I have a very interesting proposal for you. Let me explain everything first, ok?" This catches you a bit off guard, because by the way she said it, it was something different than going out together somewhere. Adriana says.

"You know who Kendall Jenner is, right?" Adriana asks.

"Yep"

"Good, so you know she is one of the most requested models right now because she is very popular on social media..." Adriana says.

You could feel an hint of disappointment when she said this, and being a fan you know Adriana always worked hard for her success, and seeing a kid with rich parents get almost the same recognition by just taking some selfies was definitely not pleasant, even for a person like her who is the total opposite of an hater or jealous.

"...and also VS wants her for the Paris show, but not only she skipped the selective castings, a thing only us contracted Angels can do, but also asked for a lot of privileges to just be there: only authorised interviews before/after the show, her own team everywhere she goes, a different luxurious hotel suite, her own bodyguards, and so on. So me and the other Angels are a bit angry with the brand, because they never gave us all of this, and we have regular year-long contracts, while she will work for them just three days." Adriana says.

"We decided to send a subtle protest message to them, and if they say no, many of us won't renew our contracts because it's not fair she got all of this and we didn't. They chose me to represent them all, because I have worked for the brand longer then anybody else and my words is the most influential, and to pretend some of the same privileges Kendall got: bring my own bodyguard with me to Paris, as a start." Adriana says.

You answer. "Ok, I agree, it's only fair you got the same benefits they offered her, since you are the most representative figure for the brand. And a million times better model too. No don't blush it's true! But I don't see what this has to do with me yet..."

"I am just arriving to the point: I don't have a bodyguard, I never had a personal one, but after what happened in Milan I started to think I should care more about my security since I travel so much, and who better then the man who saved me once already? And since you are my boyfriend, we could stay together much more than in any other way, because even living in the same city I would travel a lot for work anyway. What do you think, John?"

It was a lot to ask! She was offering you a job, and to basically spend all your life, well at least a huge part of it, with her. If the latter was better then what you could dream of, being a bodyguard wasn't exactly the career you ever had in mind: Currently you were finishing engineering studies, so it didn't fit at all, and also you didn't have any experience for that kind of job.
