There's no harm in endearing Erika to me with a pointless gift like this, right? After all, it will make her fonder of me, perhaps, while also making me look like a cool guy who isn't afraid of a little challenge. I wonder what kind of face Erika will make when she hears my surprising decision to let her keep this useful power? Will she look surprised? Grateful?

I mean... I suppose. This isn't a mystery. I have nothing to fear from your piece trying to solve a mystery, because there isn't one. I pondered whether or not to tell her that, further, the day on which there is a mystery will never arrive for either of us, so long as she's a character in my story. In the end, I decided that there's no need to dwell on such an unpleasant fact as my impending ****.

Finally... this detective seems really lukewarm about her role as detective this time around. The Erika I'd learned of would be jumping for joy when presented with the opportunity to play detective.

You know, typically it's my **** that's on a timer, but Erika, you're faced with a bit of a conundrum yourself, aren't you? I'd say you have until Player arrives to make sure that you aren't carried naked to the guest house. I wonder what kind of feelings might develop between the two of them?
