Chapter 7 by goodson goodson

Do I keep looking?

I can't stop

Despite the initial shock of what I was doing, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the captivating sight of Chloe getting ready for the day. She seemed so carefree and unaware of my presence, lost in her own world. After a few moments, Chloe finished getting ready and left her room, heading downstairs. I quickly turned away from the window, feeling a mixture of guilt and excitement. I knew that what I had just done was wrong, but I couldn't deny the thrill I felt from watching Chloe. As the day progressed, I found myself constantly thinking about Chloe and what I had seen. I couldn't help but wonder what else she might be hiding beneath the surface of her seemingly perfect suburban life. Despite the guilt I felt about invading their privacy, I couldn't shake the curiosity that had been ignited within me.

My thoughts stayed on Chloe as I spent the day arranging my new house, moving furniture and trying to find a routine in this quiet suburban neighborhood. It was so different from the hustle and bustle of the city that I found myself wandering aimlessly through my house, moving furniture that I had already moved twice, just looking for something to do. Just as I felt myself beginning to go a little stir-crazy there was a knock on my front door. I walked over and opened the door to find Chloe standing there with a smile on her face. "Hi Seth, I hope I'm not disturbing you?" She asked, her eyes moving over my house as if checking for anything out of place. "No, not at all," I replied with a smile. "I was thinking..." Chloe began, pausing for a second. "We are having a cookout this afternoon and Jack and I were wondering if you'd care to join us? " She asked with a tentative smile.

Do I go?
