How to Train Your Slayer (In Progress)

"Giles, you got a package!" Xander yelled as he walked into the library.

"What is it?" Giles called back from his office.

"It looks like a book," Xander said as he turned the package around. "A bit small for what you normally read."

Giles was still in his office, "Could you just open it and tell me the title? I wasn't expecting a book today."

Xander ripped open the packaging and looked at the title. "How to Train Your Slayer. Is this legendary Slayer manual?"

"No," Giles said as he came out. "It's your book."

"What?"

"Your holding it. Which I guess means you're in charge of training. Your is possessive, it's about training, so it looks like the responsibility falls on you."

"Huh, I guess so," Xander said, wondering what had caused the change, "Well, I better check it out then."

Xander sat down at the table as Giles headed back to his office, neither one of them thinking anything was unusual about the situation.

Ethan cursed as he passed by the library. That book was supposed to go to Giles.

Well, that's what he got for being a chaos warlock, magic never ended up going quite your way.

Still, it wasn't a total failure. Giles would have been destroyed by what the book would have ended up having him do, but with the boy in charge it should cause even more chaos.

And really, if not for chaos, were would the fun be in life?

Xander opened the book and saw a couple of instructions at the top.

No one but the owner may read this book. Good thing he was the owner.

Do not flip ahead, it would damage the training procedures. Of course, you couldn't flip ahead in a training manual.

Your trainees will follow all of your instructions. Obviously, why else would he be in charge of training.

Do not be surprised by unconventional training methods, these are the most effective options. Not a surprise, he dealt with unconventional people. Buffy never seemed to get anything out of Giles normal trainings anyway.

Choose the training options most appropriate to you. That went without saying, he was the trainer after all.

However, you must make a choice. Well, yeah, you couldn't be a trainer if you didn't do some type of training.

Train always. Everything is an opportunity to work in training. That sounded like Xander was going to be quite busy.

Fortunately, your Slayer will adapt to this training automatically. They will instinctively know your stance on training. Well that was great news, it made his work a lot easier.

Don't be surprised if others show up to take advantage of your excellent training. Great, just what he needed, more responsibility.
