Chapter 7

What does he find when they make it to the plaza?
Hot dogs and some answers
"Here."
Josh, broken out of his contemplation, looked up.
Clink.
Then down, as a plate of hot dogs were set on the table by Stephanie. She was pulling in her chair under the table, chin lilted up at the meaty aroma. Someone was in a tapdancing mood. "Mmm," she enthused. "Got 'em fresh and juicy too."
Josh only stared as she grabbed a hot dog and bit into its mustard-lined link. He was studying the side of his own when a conversation at the table across from them caught his ear. Being outdoors, words seemed to flow out like they were on capillaries.
"So? What'd you say?" The somewhat thinner woman sipped on her soft drink as her glib, storytelling partner accommodated her.
"I said, 'Mort! If you're not going to even try to give my ass a nice hard slap I could at least feel without grinding you mad myself, then this is the first and last date we ever go on!'"
"And? Did he do it?"
"You bet he did." As she took her cup in her hands, her friend laughed.
"Jolene! That's so you."
"Trust me darling. If you want to keep a man in check, you have to let him know his place." She set the drink down, gesticulating. "He's responsible for his actions. Not me. Not his daddy. No one else. Why is it always us they expect to put work in?"
"Tell me about it," Jolene's friend made a cute pout. Then she looked around and leaned forward with a half whisper. "I could count on one hand how many times I've been groped today." With a sigh, she held up three fingers, and Jolene laughed through her teeth.
"Don't feel too bad. I'm one short of you."
As the women lamented over the state of modern day society, a sound faintly pounded against Josh's skull.
"Josh!"
Suddenly, there was a rubbing against his arm and he tore his attention away from the table.
"What?" He swiveled his head forward at a concerned-looking Stephanie.
"Your hot dog," she looked with a scrunched brow, "it's..."
Josh looked to her pointing finger and flinched. "Oh, crap!"
Quickly the young man stopped the weiner's downward path and pushed it back into its bun. He looked back up at Stephanie. Even in spite of the situation, and this increasingly strange feeling that something really was upside-down, when she devolved into a fit of chuckles he followed with his own awkward handful but a second later.
"Refills?" One of the local hands dropped by, with a cart. She looked at the two of them patiently.
"No thanks." Stephanie smiled politely at the taut-bodied woman.
"And you, sir?" She turned to Josh.
Josh rubbed his dick through his jeans just before removing his eyes from her robust bottom and clearing his throat. "Just Coke, please."
The woman nodded, lips slipping into a faint curl of her own that Josh couldn't tell apart from an ordinary professional one, if he was being honest. "One Coke, coming right up."
After his glass was replenished and the woman left, he noticed Stephanie eyeing him again.
"What?" he spoke through his mouthful.
"Nothing." The girl looked at the meal in his hands, changing topic. "So, how do you like it?"
"The hot dog?" Josh swallowed, picking at his teeth, then nodded. "It's pretty good."
"Does it make up for earlier?"
"Oh, yeah, definitely." Waving his hand, Josh assured, "I mean, it wasn't like you needed to do this anyway." With a gulp, he tried to deter his eyes from staring at Stephanie's tightly covered chest. She smiled, leaning forward.
"Well, I was glad to, Josh."
What surprised Josh was her soft hand over his. It lasted for only a second or two before she gave it a second pat then drew hers away like it was nothing. But he had to wonder.
His eyes darted down. In his pocket, his phone rested, unassuming, inactive, just warming his thigh. A few moments earlier, he had gotten an app, an app that apparently gave you the freedom to change the rules of the world. He humored himself and tried to reverse the mores of society by making perverted things men did swap roles with that of a proper, gentleman's crash course on etiquette/appropriateness 101.
But did that really mean...
Gulping, Josh spoke up. "Stephanie. Sorry if, er, this is kind of random, but..." He curled his hands, summed a few notches of will, and continued. "Can I take a picture of your tits with my phone?"
Stephanie simply looked at him at first. Then, with a friendly, perhaps a bit too eager smile, the girl sat back and chirped, "Of course you can, silly!"
As she began lifting up her top, she looked around bashfully. Josh, meanwhile, sat there pushing his hand powerfully against his dick. It really was true. The world was as catered to his perverted whims as the ROTW app promised it could do. She said yes, was all he could think. She said yes...
Because here, being perverted was being... right.
