Chapter 4
by DirtyDoc79
What levies do you contribute to Lord Stark?
Horsemen
You are able to raise and equip four hundred light horsemen. They have supplied their own mounts, and you have given them light leather armour, helms, shields, lances, and swords. All castle forged steel, sharp, and ready for battle.
As you ride your retinue north to Winterfell, you find the army of Lord Stark already on the Kingsroad, and heading south. Each league he travels, more loyal bannermen flock to his host. As you approach the command tent seeking orders for your troop, you are supposed to find yourself meeting with your liege lord.
"Thank you for heeding my summons. How many have you brought?" Lord Stark inquires.
"Four hundred light cavalry my lord. Equipped with castle forged steel and armour, and loyal to the man." You reply.
Lord Stark seems mildly disappointed in the number, but quickly moves on.
"We are moving as fast as an army can. However, the larger the host, the slower the pace. I want you're horsemen to travel in the vanguard as scouts. You are ordered to replenish your supplies, then head south to Moat Cailin and occupy the castle. We shall move a swiftly as we may to relieve you. After the army has passed the neck I want you to scout the Kingsroad." Lord Stark swiftly scribbles a note to you (orders no doubt), then seals it with the sigil of the Direwolf. Orders in hand, you set out with your light cavalry.
A little back story. Are you married?
