Here goes!

You've got your shield held up, and you're leaning into it in preparation for the monster's scything attack. But when it does land, it lands with a lot more **** than you were expecting it to! Your shield still absorbs the whole thing, but there's enough power and strength behind it that you're pushed just slightly back. You manage to catch yourself just before slipping over on the slidey gravel path beneath you, but that was not a heaping of fun!

You lower the shield just enough for your eyes to peek over the top. This monster is really strong, which you didn't expect from the way it looks. Worse than that, even though its missing arm is slowly down its attack speed, it's already preparing for another attempt at you!

You've got one explosive round left in your pistol, and the monster is almost upon you with its next attack. You're not sure if you'll be able to defend as well against another one with your shield.... what do you do?!
