It took Leigh a moment after seeing the name before she could even figure out who it was that was messaging her. Then it hit her. This was Jessica Nakamura.

Jessica had been her friend, but only tangentially. Her older sister, Amaya, had been in her year. Back then the two had done basically everything together. Every club, every class. And because they'd spent so much time at each others houses, Leigh had gotten to know Jessica pretty well just from constant exposure. They were friendly enough, and Jessica would sometimes join in the activities of the older two girls.

Jessica was a quiet girl. Not many friends naturally. Amaya's mother was always pushing her to spend time with them, just so she'd leave her room more often. Though, Leigh was often surprised by the girl's wit. She didn't speak often, but when she did, what came out could be quite cutting or insightful.

That had been many years ago. She thought back on the girl's appearance. Short, as short as her. But, with a very skin frame, and long dark hair in a hime cut that went all the way down her back. Jessica was always brushing or fussing over it, so it remained perfectly straight.

Leigh leaned back and breathed a sigh of relief. At least it wasn't some kind of gross pervert.

Jessica!? Oh my goddddd! She typed. This is so crazy. Can we meet up some time?
