Chapter 14 by Icanhaznamepls
Well?
Hell yes!
The stats screen pops up in front of your eyes, with new notifications:
Lvl. 4!
He@#Aad Wa#iTre%s#
+10 melee and ranged
+15 stealth attack
FUCK YES. I mean not perfect, but at least you have an attack now. You weren’t anticipating the extra stealth attack points, but you suppose that’s from Brad’s unexpected demise in his moment of vulnerability, and definitely a bonus - you’re never going to be super strong, so perhaps stealth and cunning are the way to go in learning to defend yourself in this brave new world. You’re also very excited to see that there is in fact a level-up tree for Waitresses!! although on closer inspection you notice that the text in your title is almost unreadable; the characters seem to move and change in front of your eyes or just disappear altogether. Weird!! You peer closer, squinting, trying to work out what's going on, and slowly as you concentrate the text seems to somehow resolve into legibility: ’Head Waitress’. Ok well that's not so bad! You can’t help but grin at the promotion.
You keep reading down for anything new.
Ability gained!:
Air of authority - having proven yourself adept at dealing with ‘difficult customers’, you have attained a level of competence and leadership that other NPCs look up to. NPCs at a lower level than you are more likely to do what you say.
Ok now that is definitely worth while, and seems like it could absolutely come in useful. You grin again, remembering how just earlier today you were living the same old life as always, and yet just an hour later everything can be so different.
Everything else seems to be the same until you come to to the last ability listed.
Special Abilities:
Exceptional Balance
Charming
Other abilities:
Deepthroat
Sigh. You’d forgotten about that, and let out a long sigh. On the one hand you’re not really sure why that stuff should be tracked, but then again, you guess anything added to your CV is a good thing, and although Brad was a dick, you have to admit his actual dick itself wasn't so bad.. You remember back to where that had been just moments before, and feel a tinge of excitement between your legs, pulsing up your body. Your hand almost unconsciously starts tracing down your side, still lightly layered in the work issue maid outfit.... You definitely want to find someone to try that out more properly, sooner rather than later.
Thinking about Brad though reminds you that his body is lying on the floor right next to you, and as you can barely hear a sound of battle outside, you surmise that it must be almost over at this point. You reluctantly get up (retrieving your underwear at the same time), straighten out the dress, and crouch down next to him.
Loot.
What immediately sticks out is his ‘Leather Armour’, which you think along with similarly sturdy looking boots and gloves might be almost as useful as the Levelling Up itself. You also take his sword, although a few practice swings make you realise that you are definitely not strong enough to wield it, and that goes straight into the inventory. You also gain 26 gold! to add to your existing 3 (it's exciting to realise that you’re now over 9 times richer than you were just seconds ago, or indeed have ever been before), a torch, the room keys, a few other bits and pieces (rather than go through in detail you just 'take all' in the end), and then the other thing that could be really useful; two seemingly unopened health potions.
With that you take a last look around the room, and decide it’s probably a good time to head back downstairs, see what’s happening, and make some decisions about your next move. At the very least you’ll need to work something out in case Brad respawns and decides to come back. You stash the armour in your inventory too - might be a little suspicious to wear that straight away - take a deep breath, unlock the door, and start back downstairs.
What's next?
Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
