What a stupid taboo! If **** was still a sin, you would have at least hesitated, but this? You won't let one year and a half stand in the way of your desires when YOU can chose what is moral and what isn't. You squat and plant your finger in the ground.

"What are you doing?" Lara asks. "Drawing in the mud? Shouldn't you be picking mushrooms?"

"Don't worry, there's still time." you answer while writing. Of course, nobody ever thought about inventing the alphabet in this world. You must be the only one able to read.

"Don't take too long playing. I don't want to come home by night." she says, shivering.

You frowns, then realize that even though almost nothing can kill a human in this world, they're still afraid of the dark, which they think is full of evil spirits. Especially since they never learned to start a fire, not needing to cook their meat.

You smile at her and nod. "It will only take a few minutes."

She looks at you a few seconds, then asks "I have to go back fishing."

"Okay." you answer, focusing on your rules.

• In Western Europe, not only is **** not a taboo, but men are also expected to take their sisters from the same mother into their own tribe when they found it. As such, they're considered as engaged at birth and tend to grow a strong relationship.

You look at your rules, content with what you implemented, then leave it this way and go pick mushrooms.
