The city has the best chance of having supplies, and possibly survivors. It will also have the highest concentration of Infected, something that worries you, but there isn't much to be done about that. With your mind settled, you lock the cabin door behind you, and set off.

As you walk down the worn dirt road to the highway, though, a couple of thoughts cross your mind. One of the last radio reports you heard had mentioned large groups of Infected travelling the highways. While that was four months ago, they might still be there. Also, while the walking would be easier, the distance is a lot farther, exposing you to more risks than the isolation of the forest. On the other hand, the forest offers a lot more opportunity to get turned around, and less control of where you reenter the city as a result.
