Head down the street, trying to stay focused.

As you and your escort leave the side street and turn onto the main road towards the town center the city comes alive; townsfolk, children, animals, travelers and merchants fill the street. The whipmaster shouts and waves the crowd away from the center of the street so you can be parade down it. You notice every few feet a town crossbowman, no doubt station to prevent any chance off someone trying to free you. Though you briefly fantasize that your men might try it, you know it would be a suicide mission. Maybe some of the townspeople who hate the empire will demand mercy for you.

This thought is quickly crushed by the crowd’s reaction. The majority simply turn their eyes away. Some shout out insults, calling you a criminal and a whore, a few spit at the ground near you. Not afraid you look your tormentors in the eye as you realize the majority of them are women or the old. You remember the judge’s verdict that the town square would be roped off; no doubt that is where the majority of men have congregated.

Though the vast majority of women look with contempt for you, or delight at your predicament, you realize it is out of jealous for your amazing figure and devastating good looks that has drawn all their men away to get a glimpse of your body, and not theirs.

You can’t help but to arrogantly give out a brief smile out, which only arouses you more.
