He stands his ground.

"No. I'm not gonna fuckin' sit here and pretend that nothing is happening, when you mess with my friend."

Barry scoffed.

"Your friend, eh? Far as I knew, you're the only friend that this lanky bastard has. You sure you wanna get beat up over this asshole?"

"Who the fuck says I'm gonna get beat up?"

The strike was quick, and rather deafening. Emil was looking towards the ground now, a step backwards from his previous position, yet still standing.

His cheek was numb. His body refused to move. He felt the sting of tears in his eyes and a growing, throbbing pain. He looked towards the man who'd just socked him, and something flared inside him.

"Do everyone here a favor and piss off before I-" the words were interrupted by Emil's fist, a blow that struck into a thunderous clap of noise, sending the guy towards the ground in a half-circle. Emil's fist hurt.

He shook his hand, wiping his lips as he looked at the guy that he'd just knocked out. He looked towards everyone that stared at him. He looked towards the cafeteria residents. He looked towards the big green doors that led to said cafeteria.

Didn't seem like anyone would say anything, or believe that he'd done this. If he was quick, he would receive no punishment.

He turned towards his friend, and raised his hand.

"You ok?"

"Yeah... Holy shit, dude. You're fucking crazy."

"I know. Strong too, apparently."

"Yeah... remind me not to anger you."

He helped the guy into his feet, then looked towards Mia. She was smiling, one thumb raised towards him while the other pointed towards the doors.

"Let's get you patched up."

"Yeah... yeah."

He nodded towards Mia, who quickly got up and left through the doors, followed by the two of them, to the sounds of growing whispers, soon erupting into full blown conversation when the metal swung to a close behind the two.
