He sees Norman Osborn

Peter stops dead in his tracks, a wave of uneasiness rushing over him as he sees Harry's father, Norman, sitting between Mary Jane and Gwen on the sofa. His blood begins to boil as he sees Norman Osborn with an arm around MJ and his hand uncomfortably high on Gwen's thigh.

"Ahhh, Peter, my boy! I wanted to stop in and wish you a happy birthday!" Norman says his voice calm and congratulatory.

Harry groans inwardly. He wishes his father paid as much attention to him on his birthday as to show up in person. Usually it's a 5 minute phone call, but for some reason, his father has taken a liking to Peter, and it enrages Harry on the inside.

"Gee, thanks Mr. Osborne" Peter replies with a bit of angst, seeing Norman stand up and walk away from the two girls.

Parker knows just what Osborn's intentions are. By day, Norman Osborn is one of the world's shrewdest businessmen, but by night, he's the **** and murdering psychopath the Green Goblin.

While they both know each other's secret identities, but the two enemies act as if they are good friends in the apartment. Norman's too powerful for Spider-man to bring to justice yet, and the Green Goblin hasn't finished having his fun fucking up Peter Parker's life to kill him.

"I was just telling these delectable beauties, " Osborn says with a devilish grin, " that whatever you need for the night is on me. There is a stocked limo waiting down stairs, with VIP passes to anyplace you would want to go."

"That's great, but I think . . ." Peter starts to say.

"No but's Parker! I won't take no for an answer! And I've told you to call me Norman!" Osborn interrupts with a gleam in his eye.

The two girls walk up to Norman and put there arms around him, as Gwen gives him a squeeze, she tries to ease Peter's mind "C'mon Peter! You wouldn?t want to be rude do you?"

Flash chimes in his own quip, "Yeah Parker! Free night on the town!"

Harry was the only one on Peter's side, not wanting to be a part of this 'present' that he assumes is for the son Norman Osborn wishes he would have had, but at the same time being too weak willed to say anything.

The irony for Peter is that he knows Osborn is a powerful man, and power is attractive to any woman. Why Osborn would need to **** and **** his hostages is beyond him, but that's the part that makes the Goblin a psychopath.

"Alright, but let's get going! Thanks for the 'gift', Norman!" Peter agrees with inflection in his voice.

"Of course! Ladies, lets make sure this is a night Mr. Parker never forgets!" Osborn says one last time before giving each girl a 'friendly' kiss and escorting them to the door.

As the group leaves the apartment, Norman Osborn clicks a button on his watch, turning on a remote and tracking device for the limo, "Perfect, this will definitely be a birthday young Parker will never forget!" he thinks to himself before breaking out in mad laughter.
