He is too late

Mark runs for the restaurant, determined to stop it. He wasn't entirely sure how he'd be able to stop the virus, but he knew he had to do something.

Along the way he stopped by two brown haired girls. His heart almost flew out of his chest when he saw them, the two being as identical as people could be. He couldn't tell them apart, and there seemed to be no difference between them. Almost like the two were made to be perfect copies of each other thanks to a virus.

Mark shrugged the idea off and continued. They were probably just twins... right?

As Mark ran through he encountered more and more twins with the occasional set of triplets. This was a bit worrying, since he never remembered identical twins being so common, but maybe it was just a coincidence...

A look out into the city confirmed otherwise. Everyone had a double of themselves, and it wasn't just twins and triplets. Four, five, even six people that looked the exact same walked next to each other, all but confirming that the virus had already struck.

Seemed like society was at the point where they thought they could live with this virus, but pretty soon the cloning would prove to be too much.
