He investigates the city

Peter swung over the city looking for something that he might find interesting or that would at least keep him busy so that he wouldn’t have to return to the cold lonely apartment room that he called home. He jumped from roof to roof hearing and seeing nothing especially out of the ordinary. Cats below overturned garbage cans as they looked for a late night meal and the city ran as smoothly as it usually did.

He was coming to the end of his patrol when he noticed something out of the ordinary. He strained his eyes to see into the darkness of the ally hoping for thugs or renegade mutants or anything that would give him an excuse to take out some stress.
