He gets some company on his watch

It was about an hour later when Dareios noticed one of the women started moving slightly, and then get up on her feet. It pleased him to find her seeking his company, though he could see in her face that she wasn't after what he'd initially hoped for.

"You should get a little more sleep." He told her, even as he gladly made room for her to sit beside him and lean her back against the wagon. "It's not your watch yet, and not even the one after me."

"I cannot sleep, with those bandits still fresh in mind." Selene confessed as she hesitantly settled down, putting some distance between them, and making him understand that she also wasn't ready to trust him just yet. "I cannot thank you enough for for saving us though..."

"I only did what my code of honour would dictate." He smiled back at her, not wanting her to feel like she was in debt to him. If he'd been someone else, then maybe he would've used that advantage to have her sate his desires, but instead he'd much prefer to have her do so out of her own free will.

"Then I thank the gods for sending you in our time of great need." She managed a smile in return, seeming to relax just a little from his answer - clearly relieved that he wasn't more demanding. "You truly arrived at the exact right time!"

"I've been known for my luck and timing in combat." He replied modestly, making her smile grow wider as he indicated that it was him that was the lucky one here. He could tell she still wasn't ready for either sleep or some other activity however, so decided instead to keep her talking. "And what about you? What's the three young women doing on this lonely road to Tharros?"

"That's a long story..." Selene mumbled, but seemed rather thankful for his company. The three of them had already listened to most of his own story, so it wasn't any more than fair that he learned some of theirs. "I can try and summarize..."
