Chapter 7 by TheNexus TheNexus

What happens to Tom next?

He encounters his...umm wife?

Tom got out of his chair and left his home office to find his wife to see what she looked like. As he moved throughout his house he saw quite a few changes. Just like in his office there was random pictures, paintings, and decorations with a distinct Asian or Korean flare.

He stopped to look at one painting, a beautiful landscape that had all the stereotypical etchings of an East Asian scene. There was a mountain that looked like Mt. Fuji in the distance, pagoda like buildings in the foreground, and solitary figures walking about. The lower right hand corner had Han-gul script which Tom glanced at. He was shocked that he was able to read it! He had never in his life attempted to learn any Asian language, but somehow here he was fluent in Korean! That coin must have had a bigger impact this time around .

Tom heard a noise in the kitchen down the hall and pulled himself from his linguistic revelation. He approached the entrance and heard a feminine voice humming to a tune. Turning the corner he saw a woman standing away from him over the sink, presumably washing dishes. She was definitely shorter than Sarah had been. More petite too, not that Sarah had been chubby or anything before. The woman's long and lush black hair was quite distinct from his wife's flowing brunette hair.

Tom walked towards this woman and reached out to touch her shoulder.

"Oh God!"

The woman quickly turned around and backed away from Tom in a frightened stance.

"oh.... its just you! Babe you scared me! Don't sneak up on me like that!"

The women before Tom was stunningly beautiful and exactly what he was hoping for a few moments ago when he made his wish. She was like a walking Asian sex-pot out of one of his lustful fantasies. He had hit the lottery with this wish.

"Sorry Sarah! I was just trying to be sexy and give you a surprise shoulder rub!"

Your wife looked at you with a grimace. "Tom. We talked about this. I don't like when you call me Sarah. That's my English name and I haven't gone by that since high-school. I thought you understood why I'm going by my birth name? I'm trying to connect more with my parent's culture for our son's sake. I don't want him to be another white-washed Korean kid like I almost became."

Tom was a bit startled at that. For one, it seems his wish worked how he wanted it. Sarah or whatever she went by these days, certainly didn't remember not being Korean. It was as if she had been this way her whole life. Speaking of which, he needed to figure out just exactly what his wife's Korean name was or this was going to get awkward real fast.

How does he go about finding out his wife's name?
