Chapter 12 by D!$N3Y D!$N3Y

So what's Aladdin to do? Show Jafar up or just show his true strength?

He's a good kid

Aladdin had a chance to show just who he was inside, and so much more. So he took a slow breath in and exhaled it through his nose. He was about to speak when Sultan petted the Magic Carpet. "By Allah, it's a most remarkable..." and Carpet pulled on his white, bushy mustache both ways. Sultan thought it was playing around, and he looked up to 'Prince' Al. "I don't suppose," he chuckled, "I might, uh, hmm?"

"Certainly, your Majesty. Allow me." Al helped him onto Carpet just as Jafar pinned one end of it with his cobra staff.

"Sire," he hissed. "I must advise against this."

"Oh, button up, Jafar," Sultan retorted. "Learn to have a little fun." he kicked his vizier's staff, making his pet Iago bump down it. Carpet then took off with the jolly old man on its back. He soared every which way in the entire throne room, gradually making it dizzy. Meanwhile...

"Just... Where did you say you were from?" Jafar asked. Aladdin seemed to use the Mind Stone in his belt to actually tell of his lavish dwelling 'beyond the city of Agrabah and the shifting desert sands'. He seemed unimpressed with the so-called Prince's story. During all the flying, Sultan chased Iago around, and when the parrot thought it a close call when he pulled his tail out of harm's way, he slammed into the wall and slid down; he pretty much went ****. Moments later, the Sultan was coming quickly down to land. Jafar gave a brief, dull compliment on his flying, and then Sultan pinched Al's cheek with affection; he was sure that this Prince was perfect for Jasmine and wouldn't have to marry her off to his vizier.

Jafar expressed his distrust of Aladdin to his ruler. "Nonsense!" he replied. "One thing I pride myself on is my excellent judge of character." The bird expressed his sarcasm to that postulate, ultimately saying he really wasn't, and that was when the lovely princess came into the room. Only the hero knew she came. Sultan believed that his daughter will 'like this one'.

"And I know I'll like Princess Jasmine," he smiled.

"Your Highness, no!" Jafar argued, coming between him and the Sultan. "I must intercede on Jasmine's behalf! This boy is no different from the others." Aladdin looked stone-faced as the Vizier didn't know just how wrong he was. "What makes him think he is worthy of the princess?" He emphasized the last syllable with a soft hiss. Aladdin knew he shouldn't be overconfident since his future bride was observing them all.

"Well, your Majesty and Vizier Jafar," he began, pushing Jafar away some for personal space. "Why don't we let Jasmine decide for herself if I am worthy to marry her?" He folded his arms with a grin.

Does Jasmine believe him, or is she 'not a prize to be won'?
