The big problem with magic like this, the kind that really digs into your subconscious and brings to live your unspoken assumptions, is that it makes you realize how insanely stupid you really are, how unrealistic and awful your internal prejudices can be. See, I did change as I downed my beer, suddenly getting the urge to chug it in one big gulp, but I stayed being a teenage girl. What was new was...well, almost everything else.
