Erica passed through the common room and knocked on Alicia's door. Alicia didn't answer right away, but that was typical Alicia. They had agreed to meet that morning, and though they had not set a definite time, it would have been quite surprising if her friend had stepped out to run errands at 10:00 in the morning on a Sunday.
