Gun him down!

You're feeling super confident after that shieldblock stunt you just pulled, so as he's fumbling around with his crossbow you fire off the rest of your shots at him, taking your time to aim with each one but still not leaving much time between hammer pulls.

The first two go wide and hit the bulletproof curtains that he pulled shut earlier, but the third hits him right in the chest. The shock from the impact makes him trip over as he's walking sideways, landing on the ground as your fourth shot flies above him. You start to quickly reload your pepperbox, wanting to press your advantage before he can get up, but he throws his arms up into the air in surrender.

"Uhhh... you alright?" You shout across the pool as he stands, rubbing at his ribs and stowing the crossbow.

"Hngh... a bit winded, but yeah!" He calls back. "If that was a real bullet, you'd have won right there." Oh, that's a good point. The two of you walk towards each other around the pool, meeting midway through the room. Jace is already taking off his armour straps as he smiles down at you. "How the hell did you do that, with the shield? That was crazy!"

You blush a little bit and twist your foot into the ground. "Hehehe.... you think so?"

That went a bit faster than you'd have liked, and the ending was really sudden, but you guess you got a good deal out of it. A huge confidence boost, you got to be more used to your weapons and armour, and you'll be better at handling the excitement and stress next time. It also gave you a pretty good idea of what combat'll be like, and for something you just did in your Free Time that's pretty good. Also, you won!!! You didn't get hit and you won!!! AND you hit a lot of your shots! You're actually unbeatable, for real.
