Guide Joanna back to the bedroom and lie down with her on the bed

You take Joanna's hand and guide her back into the bedroom. "Lie down and rest. You lost quite a bit of blood from that knife wound."

You strip the top half of your clothing off so that Joanna can rest her head on your bare chest. She does, and you simply hold her. Her body relaxes, and soon she's sleeping peacefully. You let your own eyes close.

When you both wake, you both perform a needed function. Then you check her wound and make the two of you a nice meal. Joanna voraciously downs hers, and you make seconds.

"We don't have to give our statements until tomorrow," you tell her. "But if you're up for it..."

"Whatever you decide," she says.
