Group Meeting

I walk them into the barn and have them sit to the side as I wake everyone up.

"Everyone, come down or over here so you can meet some new faces." I say loud enough to get everyone moving.

Roger lifts his cover off his head and peers over. "This is Roger, Roger this is Kim and Tim" I say as an introduction.

"Margo meet Tim and Kim" I say to her and they each nod at each other as everyone looks with curiosity wondering what we are going to do as all we have done is flee up to this point.

"Cindy, meet Kim and Tim" I say reversing the order again and they each nod at one another.

"Lastly our twins meet Kim and Tim, Yasmine and Darla."

"I want you all to know that I have decided on a plan for us. We as a group will no longer flee and so since we are in a safe place for now, I want to set a rule that before we allow anyone to join with us, the vote has to be 100% acceptance or that person or persons cannot join our group."

"You have all met Tim and Kim and I am not sure if they are a couple or not, that is their call and I am aware they may need time to think that part through, but this world is changing fast so we have to make some quick decisions. I think they are trustworthy enough to become a member of our group. What do you each say?"

The twins both say in unison, "If you think they are good, then they are good."

Margo says, "I think numbers are a good thing for now, so I vote they join if they want to."

Roger says, "What the hell let them join."

Cindy looks the Kim over. "Are you a member of the Amazon American Army" she asks?

"I was and guess I still am if you do not want me" Kim replies.

I would like to know more about them" Cindy says throwing her vote for them to join in too.

"That is good, daylight will come soon and I have a plan. Each of you take care of your needs, remember to go out in two's and we will meet again at first light." I tell them.

"Tim and Kim" I say extending my hand, "welcome to the group."
