Grocery shopping.

You drive to Cathay Market so Lisa can buy some Chinese vegetables not found at the regular supermarket near your place. After parking the car, you push the small grocery cart as you follow Lisa pick out Chinese broccoli, bok choy, and snow peas.

"Any Chinese buns for dessert?" you ask.

"Sure!" Lisa giggles. "You can pick some!"

The old Chinese lady at the cash register eyes you. "You cooking?"

"Not tonight," you reply. "She is."

"Your girlfriend is a good girl!" the cashier remarks while she rings up the grocery.

Lisa says something in Chinese and the cashier nods. You offer to pay but your neighbor shakes her head. "You're my guest tonight!"

"Thanks!"

"Don't thank me yet!" she smirks and grabs the grocery bags.
