Chapter 20 by sean_d2345 sean_d2345

Who tapped Mary on the shoulder.

Greg

Mary turned around and saw the slightly graying hair and stunning eyes of Greg. The memory of their encounter from last night caused her cheeks immediately to redden.

“Hi there,” said Greg as he gave her an easy smile. “I was hoping to see you again.”

“….yeah,” Mary said meekly. She found herself unsure how to react. Last night after what had transpired in the room between her and the tempest sibling she had been brazen, but now that the adrenaline had faded, she was back to being a timid geek trying not to fangirl all over a hot older man.

“Sure?” asked Greg. “You seem a bit, regretful.”

“No no. Not at all," Mary said as her eyes went wide. Mary began wildly waving off the accusation. "I’m just a little nervous... seeing you again.... after...” Mary stuttered.

“True, you probably thought my old bones would be passed out in bed, but you'll find I've kept in good shape for someone of my advanced years,” Greg said sarcastically in an attempt to relieve the tension.

Mary chuckled at his remark and playfully punched him on the shoulder. "I think I know exactly how fit you are."

It was Greg's turn to blush at Mary's risque comment. “So are you enjoying your time here at Tomorrow Con?”

“Extremely. There are so many exciting things to do. And it’s so... so massive,” Mary answered smiling at her own double entendre.

“It's definitely larger than most, or so I've been told,” Greg replied keeping the game going.

“I don't have a lot of experience.{If Sex with John = 0}{If Sex with Greg = 1} In fact, you could say last night was my first FULL con experience.{endif}{endif} But I found it more than satisfying.” Mary said her voice low and sultry.

Greg stared in silence at Mary for a moment. His eyes had a hungry look about them. Mary felt a surge of excitement as the anticipation of how he would respond hung in the air. “Listen," He said as he placed his strong hand reassuringly on Mary's shoulder. It’s starting to get crowded in here, let's walk around together. It’s harder to get pushed around when there are two people instead of one.”

“I’d like that,” Mary said earnestly. She took Greg's hand in hers and intertwined their fingers. "Just so we don't get separated," She lied as they started to walk deeper into the Dealer’s Hall.

Mary and Greg walked around the hall arm in arm stopping at various stalls. One booth that caught Mary's attention belonged to the cosplay company Genre Fashions. "Oh, wow they have Westworld Costumes!"

"Doesn't look like anything to me," Greg wryly replied with one of the show's famous quotes.

"Oh stop it," Mary blithely said as she thumbed through the rack of old west inspired dresses. "How do I look?" Mary spun around clutching a short blue frilly dress to her chest. "And be honest."

Greg held a white cowboy hat in his hand as he admired the young girl before him. Slowly, he placed it on his head. "Truly, in that, you would be all beautiful, and in you, there would be no flaw."

Mary gasped as his words caused her heart to race. "I don't remember that line from the show."

Greg stepped in close and stared down into Mary's radiant blue eyes. "Wasn't in the show. It's from the good book. Song of Songs 4:7."

Mary broke her gaze with Greg as she found her hands had started to tremble. She looked down at the exquisite dress that she still clung too. "Oh my, $350, I can't afford this."

With reservation, Mary started to return the dress to its rack. Just as she was placing it back, Greg stopped her. "Get it. I'll pay."

"I can't ask that it's too expensive," Mary said conflicted at being offered such an extravagant gift.

"Expensive is a relative term," Greg responded. "I make a good living. Besides, I very much wish to see you in it."

Mary looked at the dress. It would look great on me. But is it too much to accept something like that from someone I haven't even known an entire day? Mary looked back at Greg his jaw line set off by the white Stetson hat. The burning desire in his emerald eyes making up her mind for her. "I look forward to being your model. I do charge by the hour but your cute, so I'll give you a discount."

Greg beamed a broad smile as he took the dress to the cashier. "Good choice sir, now tell me would you like to get the stockings and fingerless gloves to complete the outfit?"

"Yeah, and this hat along with the William outfit," Greg answered as he tossed down the white hat on top of the dress.

"Oh yes, you and this young lady will look splendid. Be sure and take some pictures and send them to the website. If you do, I'll email you a coupon for your next purchase," the cashier mentioned as he totaled the purchase. "That will be $975. Cash or Credit?"

"Credit," Greg answered without delay pulling out a black American Express card and handing it to the eager salesperson.

Greg gave Mary the bag, and they left the booth together to go off to do more exploring. They had no more turned the corner when Greg's cell phone began to buzz. "It's the office." Greg's face contorted to show the aggravation of his time with Mary being interrupted. "I'm so sorry. I'll just run out of the hall and see what they need and be back asap. Wait here for me please."

Without waiting for her reply, Greg began to hurriedly shoulder through the crowd. Mary made her way to the wall to sit down. As she got her bearings, she noticed she had stopped at the entrance to Artist Alley. As Mary peered in, she saw that there appeared to be many incredible prints and pictures. Mary wondered if she should just stay put and wait for Greg to get back or check out the art room.

Does Mary go into the Artist Alley?
