Got caught out...

Stephanie nodded. “That’s right. But you don’t have to, of course. Ellen will just have to pay me back in some other way.” She smiled and looked back at Ellen, who made a feeble attempt to look happy and smile back.

“Before I agree, you have to tell me what exactly it was that almost got Ellen kicked out of school. Then depending on what you say, I’ll agree or not.” You reply as you glance at Ellen, who looks mortified, and then back to Stephanie.

"Fair enough from my stand point, but it does involve Ellen..." Stephanie replies, and looks at your blond friend.

She continues to look mortified at the prospect of you knowing what ever it was that had almost gotten her kicked out. You raise an eyebrow to her, and Ellen takes a breath. Amy meanwhile had a curious look, you figure she was curious as well. Amy catches your eye, and you also see something else. You can't identify it, but...

"I...I can't trust you not to tell dad, right?" Ellen asks you.

"The four of us here." You say sincerely.

"Go ahead Steph...just keep your voice down a bit, please." Ellen says, her face still rosy with embarrassment.

"Not a problem, " Stephanie replies in a brittle tone. Obviously she doesn't like being told what to do. She considers herself to be the leader, not a follower. "It's like this. Ellen here was trying out for the swim team." Stephanie starts, and tells yo and Amy that somehow Ellen had gotten locked out of the Locker Room in just her underwear. "No one knows exactly how it happened, and the Dean was doing inspections that day. He came across her just as I opened the door from the inside. Too late to get her in without him seeing her, but...I was able to smooth it over."

You nod at the, though you notice Amy staring at Stephanie. "Really?" Amy asks Stephanie, her eyes boring into Stephanie's skull.

Stephanie's brow furrowed at Amy's stare, "Yeah, that's what happened. So now I get..." Stephanie trails off and closes her mouth.

A voice from behind you answers why that happened. "That's not what I heard, Stephanie. And it's not what I saw happen."

You turn to see another girl. She stands about 5'7 with bright red hair, and an ample chest.

"This doesn't concern the Senior Council, Jasmine. It is a private..." Stephanie started, her voice weaker than before.

"I was there Stephanie, and I think they all need to know the truth. Don't you think Amy?"

Ellen's room mate nodded, her eyes continuing their hard stare at Stephanie. Now you know the look from earlier...Amy felt very protective over Ellen. A little more than a room mate perhaps should be, but...you did like the fact that Ellen could probably count on Amy in a pinch. "Yeah, so let's hear it Jasmine. What really happened?"
