Goodbye's Handler Report (Ending #9)

Objective Status: As handler for the Goodbye Girls, Ciao was tasked with putting an end to a hostage situation in Washington. The field agent, Tschau, had gone rogue, holing up inside the weapons testing laboratory with a group of captives. Her accomplice, Promethia, took hostages elsewhere inside the tech wing at the same time. Ciao was advised to handle Tschau as his top priority and to find Despedida, trapped somewhere inside the wing, as a secondary objective.

The reports I've received so far from Ciao, while brief, suggest that Tschau was acting under the influence of the outside party known as Namaste, who'd appeared to the two of us a few times before. That figure turned out to be Despedida in disguise. Despedida was using her finesse as a hacker to remotely dominate Tschau into performing terrorist actions, up-to and including the murder of at least one former Goodbye Girls handler. She's on the run now. I did not dispatch Ciao and Tschau to pursue her, but they left on their own. I'm sure they'll come back once they've achieved their mission to hunt down Despedida and Promethia. Definitely.

When the two of them come back, they can look forward to some strict scolding from yours truly! They've got me worried sick and may I just say, the reports from the science team describe the two of them acting completely unprofessional at the scene of combat! I'm going to retrain them on proper CEDIT agent etiquette from the ground up! Those two are really testing my nerves!

Beyond that, couldn't Tschau have easily disabled or broken down those expensive new combat machines without completely destroying both them and the lab?! The only reason we're not over-budget for the month now is because I'm no longer paying three of our most expensive agents...

This is a real headache for me!

Looking Forward / Next Steps:

Tschau and Ciao have requested to form a new unit, which will remain with Washington for at least the near future. Goodbye will be reassigned to new duties in Washington while the Goodbye Girls are officially disbanded. The other missing members of the Goodbye Girls remain high-value targets for immediate apprehension.
