Chapter 4 by BiBiComte BiBiComte

Well fine. If that didn't work, then...

Good 'ol fashioned telepathy will!

"Mom," Paul looked into her eyes, smugness returning. "You want to unground me. You hate grounding me."

She nodded, suddenly, with thoughtful eyes. "I want to unground you. I hate grounding you anyway."

Paul's smile stretched even wider. "Time for PANCAKES!"

Standing upright, the spry older woman raised her shoulders to a shrug as she laughed out, "Anyway, I guess it's time for PANCAKES!" She let her hands slap back down to her thighs. Heading over to the stove, she pulled out some batter while Paul watched, arms folded. He was really enjoying how this was playing out. He felt like a Jedi!

"So I'm not grounded anymore?" the boy leaned against a coffee table.

His mother expressed her disgust at the notion. "Paul! Why would you be?" Under her breath, she mumbled, "I hate grounding you." Shudder.

As if it couldn't get any wider, Paul's smile grew. "Shit yeah."

"What was that?"

"Nothing." Paul opened the fridge, pouring himself a glass of milk. "You know what Mom? I think... I think you've earned a PS5."

The woman twisted her neck Paul's way, eyes glowing. "R-really!?"

Paul snickered. It didn't matter since it was going to be HIM playing it and hogging it all to himself, but she didn't need to know that.

As the two celebrated, jumping up and down and even breaking out some random dance moves, a sweet voice emerged from the foot of the stairs.

"Wh...what's going on?"

Paul turned, and sneered.

There, before them, was his lovely, cute, fraternal twin sister Amelia.

What's next?
