Go to grandma's house

"Go to your grandmother's house," her mother said. "Stay on the path. Do not wonder into the forest."

"It is dangerous, I know, I know," Red said. Her mom had given her these instructions a thousand times. It was always the same: go take Grandma her medicine. She knw what was coming next:

"Do not look in the basket of medicine, it's for Grandma's eyes alone."

"Yes mom," said Red. She took the basket and headed out the door, wearing her usual cape and her usual clothes.

She headed into the forest. It took several minutes, but soon she was in the dark. And yet, she could hear something walking beside her, off the path. She turned to see that it was Connall-- with each stride he looked either manly or womanly, changing between each and every tree.

"Red! Come play with me," he called.

"No, I have to take this basket to Grandma."

"I'll be your Grandma he said," you can give me the medicine.

"You wish," said Red. And yet something in her wanted to step off the path, and go right up to Connal and kiss or kill him...
