Go hunting

With champ it doesn't take you long to nab what the forest has to offer, you grab a pidgy, ratata, spinarak, and a geodude at the edge of the mountain. It takes you all day but you manage to get a respectable team with some real gems and Champ doesn't take too much damage as you get very good at using his transform move to give him a serious advantage.

You could get home if you wanted it really bad but it would be easier to make camp for the night. You didn't really pack though so hunger and exposure may be an issue. Or at the outside, you could press on hard and try to hit viridian before you go to sleep. You do have the money for a room and it would prevent you haveing to go home and face blue.
