Go for the camera
Originally written by Henry Kajitani at writing.com
After some consideration, Lindsey decides to retrieve the camera. Those pictures are her objective for the night and it's not like the camera is cheap. If she loses it now, she will have to save all year to buy a new one.
Firm in her resolve, Lindsey scans for people nearby. A few trick-or-treaters are going from house to house. Most of them seem more interested in their candy than half-naked ninjas sneaking around. Regardless, getting the camera will require making a full trip across the open street and there are no proper hiding places on the other side. If someone spots her, things are going to get complicated real fast. The trip across the street to prank unsuspecting Tina seemed so easy now. She used to be mostly hidden in her black costume in the shadows, but now even the moonlight made her fair skin look as though it was glowing against the dark night.
The people around are scarce and they all are occupied for the moment. Looks like it is now or never. If Lindsey doesn't act now, she might as well just give up on her night of mischief.
Lindsey takes a deep breath and vaults over the bush in front of her. She sprints towards the camera and swoops her arm down to grab it. Skidding to a stop, she changes direction back towards her comfortable hiding spot. Glaring left and right as she runs, no one has torn their attention from their candy collection to notice Lindsey yet. Reaching the protected hedge again, Lindsey vaulted back over and sat down to catch her breath.
She waited in silence, listening for any curious people that had heard or caught a glimpse of her. If anyone has noticed, no one is searching now, so it seems she is safe for the moment. Lindsey sighs in relief and shudders from the adrenaline still running through her veins.
Flipping on the camera, Lindsey examines any damage. It has a few scuffs from being thrown so far, but it is still completely functional as far as she can tell. A smirk stretches across Lindsey's face behind her mask. Things are about to turn around for her. Reaching into her bra, she pulls out her thin cellphone. It may not be the most comfortable place for it, but if worst comes to worst, a cellphone is imperative to getting out of a bad situation.
Lindsey pops out the tiny micro SD card from the camera and into her phone. There they are, plenty of clear shots of the Batgir's exposed backside under the streetlamp. With a few checks through the online school registry, club assignments, and calling in on a favor an acquaintance owed her, she finds Tina's contact information.
Moments later, Lindsey's sends her ultimatum to Tina: "Bring that top back to where you stole it from immediately unless you want these images in the hands of everyone in school. Don't try bringing anyone else, I won't hesitate to send these. You have five minutes."
Now all Lindsey has to do is wait. Tina doesn't seem like a very cunning individual. Lindsey believes the Batgirl won't hesitate to come running back when her dignity is threatened, but does Tina really have all that much to lose?
Finally, Lindsey spots her reverse prankster in the distance
