Chapter 4 by wintermute wintermute

You're a business woman now! Do you go back to work?

Go ahead and leave

You rise off the couch, smooth out your skirt, and walk out the door on high heels as if you'd done it thousands of times before. It seems like Sarah gave you at least a little help in getting adjusted to this body. For a moment, you're almost grateful to her, until you realize that you're walking with quite a large amount of sway in your step. You try to change your stride to stop your pencil skirted-hips from swaying, but you lose your balance and nearly fall. It seems like this is the only way you can walk.

Making it past the interested eyes in the lobby of the office, you exit the building and find, surprisingly enough, your own car, with the keys laying on the hood. You're grateful at first to see something so familiar, but you realize that the fact that your stepsister wants you to go to work so badly means that she has something up her sleeve. You deliberate for a second, but tell yourself that going anywhere else really won't accomplish anything: you don't even know where you are. Going to work, you think, is probably your best shot of finding your sister and having her stop this. (You won't admit to yourself that you're afraid of what she'll do to you if you go outside of her plans.)

You hop in the car and pull out of the parking lot. Your new body and especially the heels you're wearing makes it a bit tricky to drive at first, but you get used to it after a bit. You also notice that by not thinking about where you're going, your body starts to make turns on its own. The car slows down and stops in front of a building labeled "Inc. Co." Yeah, your sister definitely made this one up.

You're at work, what now?
