Ghira was enjoying his time in vale. he had originally come to vale to try and gather some supplies for Menagerie when he had heard about this event. at first he was just going to ignore it and continue on his way when he caught sight of some one who was going to be in this little auction. His daughter Blake had run off a few years ago after an argument and had not been home since. he sometimes wonders what he could have done differently but none of that would change the past.

He brought the news to his wife who had some with him and upon hearing the news agreed that they should come to the auction if for nothing else but to see their daughter again. He had originally planned on just saying hello to her after the event and arrange a meeting for them to catch up. That changed the moment he saw the looks some of the guys were giving his daughter the moment she stepped on stage. There was no way he was letting any of these guys anywhere near his daughter. Seeing the look on his face kali could only shake her head.

"Five hundred," Ghira said.

the bidding went on for a while till Ghira managed to win at two thousand three hundred lien. they then made their way to the stage to greet their daughter. the whole way Kali could only shake her head in disappointment over her husbands actions. it was clear the monkey Faunus was **** for the date and she had to stop her husband from going over to him and turning him into paste.

"Dad, Mom what are you guys doing here," She said in shock.

"Hello dear we were in vale for business when we saw you were part of this event. we were originally planning on talking to you afterword but your father had a change of heart," Kali said.

"None of those basterds were good enough for her," He said.

"Dad," Blake says in embarrassment. she could not believe how overprotective he is being of her. she could feel her teammates watching her and felt both Ruby and Yang giving her sympathetic looks. she didn't need to question the looks when she looked over and could see their father sitting at the table with a pair of shotguns in his lap. That along with their uncle Qrow leaning his fully transformed scythe on his shoulder as he drank from his flask. No doubt they planned to have words with whoever wins either one.
