I knock on the door to Mr. Harris' office and he is standing at the window looking at the schoolyard as I enter.
"Ah, Lisa. Good morning! Please come in." He greets me.
"Good morning Mr. Harris, I am here for the school books." I say.
"I have your books right here." He moves to a nearby shelf and points to be a pile of books. "How was your first day Lisa? I hope you get used to everyday school life in Saint-Etienne soon and maybe you will be interested to check out one of our clubs, too."
"I did have a good day and made new friends. Thank you for asking Mr. Harris. Are there any clubs you can recommend me?" I ask while putting the textbooks in my schoolbag.
"Well, there are quite a few... But it would not be fair to make any recommendations. You can take this and check their information program yourself. The club I am most proud of is of course our school football team with them winning the national championship twice in a row. That makes us the frontrunner this year. You might want to check the cheerleading team and support our heroes on their matchdays and travel around the country." He smiles warmly and with pride as he hands me the leaflet with the clubs description.
"Mr. Harris, didn't you say you don't want to make any recommendations? I will make sure to check it out though." I tease him before saying goodbye and leave for class.
