Get downstairs

Not wanting to risk more annoyance from Mike, Sam ignores the noise, dashing down the stairs.

As he enters the front room Mike glances up from his book. "You took your time." He moans, but says nothing more.

Sam moves on through the room and up the single step into the kitchen diner where Lauren is digging through the fridge for a collection of sandwich fillers.

"What can I do to help?" Sam asks, joining her.

Lauren looks at him for a moment, before handing him a large loaf of bread. "Get cutting that up." She says slowly. "I'll spread it about." she adds with a wink.

Sam takes the bread from her, picking up a knife and starts cutting his way through the loaf, handing her the slices to fill with sandwich spreads, the two of them working in silence for a few minutes before Lauren breaks it.

"You seem to enjoy exposing yourself to my family." she whispers in his ear as she walks past him.

Sam suddenly turns bright red at the comment, glancing over the counter towards Mike still sat engrossed in his book on the sofa. "It's not like I did it on purpose."

Lauren giggles a little at his reply. "I'm starting to doubt that." she tells him, "We've only been here a few hours and I've already seen you naked twice. Admit it, you enjoy it."
