Get a Bite

Your stomach growls in hunger and Jenny laughs.

"Well, I think that answers our question. Come along, dear." She leads you out of the bedroom, the two maids quickly moving to flank you as you leave. Their manner is friendly but you know that would vanish in a second if you tried to resist. The hallways you're led through seem to make no sense, though in your earlier state of mind you weren't exactly paying attention to the layout. Every once in awhile you hear a noise that curdles your blood, someone screaming or an inhuman shriek, all are met with a wry smile from your friend turned captor.

Eventually you enter what looks like a grand dining hall, although the type of dining going on shocks you. People are either chained to the wall or laying on tables, Jenny's undead servants eagerly feasting on them. The worst part of it all is how the victims don't seem to notice or care, blank or even blissful expressions are plastered on all their faces. The vampires themselves are surprisingly diverse, some you've seen but others you haven't. Most look human with varying shades of pale skin while others have strange features that mark them as something else, and a few barely look human at all.

"Unnerved are we? Don't worry, we have food that's more to your taste as well." You are led through the dining room, countless eyes glaring at you in restrained hunger. You enter an impressive looking kitchen, a single chef resides within. "Get my guest something to eat would you?"

"Oh of course!" The chef seems more aware than the rest of the still living inhabitants, treating Jenny more like an employer than some kind of master. He goes to work preparing food for you while Jenny turns to the maids attending you.

"I have to check in on the preparations, make sure she doesn't go anywhere until I return." The maids silently curtsy to her in response as she leaves, the room is eerily silent aside from the chef's work. It unsurprisingly takes quite some time for him to be finish but any time it looks like you might even be contemplating leaving one of the maids gives you a cold look that stops you dead in your tracks. Eventually the chef places a plate of delicious looking food on a small table with a single chair.

"Bon appetit!"
