Get Luna's help

Luna is one of the best magi you know. And you're sure she won't rat on you. You text her and not 5 minutes later she pops in.

"Hey, what's u- Holy shit, Cho! Why is Ali tied up?!" Luna asks.

"He seems convinced that Azrael has returned and pocked him to be one of the 12 disciples. I think he's crazy but his mana did have black mixed into it," you explain.

Luna's eyes turn blue as she analyzes Ali's condition. After awhile she shakes her head.

"Something is definitely off about him, but he's not cursed, poisoned, or sick," Luna informs you.

"How is that possible. We've known him forever and he's never acted like this before. He can't be of sound mind," you argue.

"Let me get Clayton. He knows a lot about spiritual and psychological phenomena. Maybe he can help," Lina says.

Clayton now enters your apartment. He immediately senses a disturbance. He rushes to Ali and his eyes turn green. He examines Ali then reports his findings.

"Ali has been corrupted by the dark mage Azrael," Clayton announces.

"But he's been dead for a thousand years! How can that be the case?" You protest.

"I also believed his promise to return to be an empty threat, but there's no denying it. Ali's mind and spirit are being ravaged by a power previously thought unattainable. Only two magi have ever held power like this. The original high priestess, and the Reaper, Azrael. The only thing keeping us alive is that Ali is fighting his darker urges. As soon as he lets go, no spell will hold him," Clayton explained.

"One other thing. Ali mentioned wanting me and that was his motivation for attacking me. Do you know what he meant?" You ask.

"Like I said, his brain is a mess right now. It's possible that some sort of change in his libido mixed with his care for you and convinced him he wanted you. I can't say for sure."

Suddenly you hear Ali scream.
