Fuu fights a losing battle and makes a decision

"Even more tricks up your sleeve, then? Is that all this place is, just a bunch of fancy tricks?" Fuu met the man's challenge with her chest held high and weapon at the ready. Her body ached ever so slightly from the impact of his spells, but she wasn't about to give in just from that.

The stony bodies of four dark creatures loomed around her, prowling and soaring as they tested the distance of her reach. The panther feinted forward, only to dart back the moment Fuu thought she could reach him with her blade. She hadn't noticed it upon their emergence, but now that she got the chance to look at her opponents up close, Fuu noticed something. If the past few months had been anything else, than this might have come as a shock, but with what she had seen time and time again, the sight of their stiff stony cocks only just barely registered as interesting.

Despite all the poise she held herself with, Fuu knew that her situation was only going from bad to worse. She was alone, facing off against five opponents, with a sixth looming only a short distance away. Sure enough, just as Fuu thought about her, Kiera's mind controlled form came lumbering forward, breaking through the line of demonic creatures to lunged straight for Fuu. The canine statue followed in her wake, using Kiera's body to close the gap with Fuu before pouncing at her, teeth bared and behind him, the mage threw his hands up into the air, launching a cascade of flickering lights that felt almost blinding in the damp darkness of the labyrinth.

There wasn't a moment to lose. Fuu grit her teeth, trying to hold focus through the flashing lights, but as exhausted as she was, every little bit of noise made it even more difficult to focus and react. If both foes reached her, Fuu was certain she would be overwhelmed by their joint attack. Further, she had no idea just how much it would take to put down the stony beast. Kiera on the other hand, for all her armor and training, was just a moral woman. There wasn't a moment to think, but to Fuu the only possible choice was obvious.

"I'm sorry," she muttered as she moved with far more speed that one would expect from such a beaten down warrior. She danced to the side to keep Kiera between her and the charging mutt. Only slightly wincing from the pain in her legs, she stabbed the tip of her weapon blindingly quick toward Kiera's throat.
