Inside her mind, Venus found her answer, amid the all-seeing eye of whatever it was inside her mind. "I have undertaken these quests that the fallen may rest in peace, knowing that their deaths were not in vain, that the ones who struck them low shall never harm another being again."
The voice in her head was silent, for a moment, contemplating her words, probing them for honesty, before a sentence formed in her mind: "Acceptable. Lose your way, and you shall lose me, too." With that, the blade came free of its' magical holds, settling into her hand. From a small recess beneath it, a scabbard and belt rose into view, along with what appeared to be a torch, similar to the sconces around her.
Taking the scabbard and belt, she fastened them around her waist, then examined the sword in more detail. The craftsmanship was exquisite, obviously done by an absolute master of their trade. The blade was finely balanced, and felt incredibly comfortable in her hand. The cutting edge was razor-sharp, untarnished by time. She took a few experimental swings to familiarize herself with the blade, and was rather surprised at both the humming sound it made as it cut the air, and the vibration of the blade as it moved. It made it far trickier to wield than any blade she had ever wielded before, but she was confident she could wield it.
Sheathing the sword, she finally paused to actually look at herself, and shook her head. How far she had fallen in these last few weeks. She had gone from a virgin, well-equipped Shadow Hunter, bravely fighting monsters for the good of humanity, to a naked, fucked, and cum-covered woman, skulking through ancient ruins with nothing but a sword belt to wear.
Pushing the thought from her mind, she picked up the torch, finding a small rune that, when touched, activated the stone, giving a soft glow off. Looking about, she was briefly uncertain whether she should head back the way she came, or explore the other passage out of the tunnel.
