Follow the two into the cave

Well here goes nothin’

You hold out your lantern which illuminates the cold stone walls of the cave. From the darkness returns Petra who looks startled.

“I didn’t realize how dark it was in here, mind if I share your lantern?”

“O’ course” you smile at Petra before continuing into the cave. The caverns wind and twist causing you slight disorientation before you arrive at a junction. The path splits as one way slopes up and to the right, while the other goes downward toward the left. Marking the entrance of the right path looks to be a crude tribal totem. An elk’s skull sits upon a carved wood pole. While nothing marks the left side, you can faintly make out the sound of running water.

“Petra, ye didn’t happen to see or hear which way Gilly went did ya?” Petra thinks for a moment before shaking her head. “Damn, looks like it’s a game o’ chance then.”
